Frances’ third artwork of 2023, ‘Apple Gum’ features a staunch apple gumtree standing amidst the fields and hills of Yaegl country.
The curvy apple gum branches symbolise life directions, being pulled in all different directions while reminding us of the need to make sure our roots are strong to maintain focus and connection. The mark making on the hill depict the red earth and the underlying stories contained within country.  The white dashes show branching out, new directions, new beginnings, new life.
